Scenario 13 | RMN Muckamore Abbey

The patient has moderate learning disabilities, but also social and anger management issues. You are due to take him for his daily walk which is part of his daily routine, as per his positive behaviour support plan.

Unfortunately due to stormy weather, you are unable to go on the walk. When you tell the patient they become verbally and physically aggressive.

They begin to shout and pick up the books off of the table in the communal area, and throw them. There are other service users sitting nearby, and only one other trained member of staff in the area at present.
