Patient: 56 year old female

History: High cholesterol

Medications: Lipitor 20mg OD

Admission: 3 months history of chest pain and SOB on exertion, admitted for investigation.
Scenario: Patient sent for an angiogram. 2 hours post angiogram (which showed triple vessel disease – patient need a CABG), the HCA calls you as she is concerned about the patients vital signs. As you approach the patient you notice that she has left face droop. As you talk with her you can hear she has slurred speech.

The vital signs that the HCA gives you are as follows:

BP: 150/90
Pulse: 74
RR: 14
Saturations: 96% on RA
Temperature: 37.1°C
